The Attic Tent attic insulation covers offer a modest R-3.2 insulation value for your home. While this is the lowest ranked attic insulator offered by Greenandmore.com, there are a number of reasons that these continue to be popular with customers. First, the Attic Tent comes pre-assembled, making it the easiest unit to install. Additionally, Attic Tent’s attic insulator offers a convenient 2-way zipper for easy access and the side wall in front of the stairs is very low and flexible. This low height and flexibility make entering and exiting via the attic pull down stairs easier than other attic insulators. We appreciate these features, as entering the attic from attic pulldown stairs can be difficult enough without an added obstacle.

Materials used in the construction of the Attic Tent are durable and flexible, which is important as you are likely to rub against this product when accessing the attic. The Attic Tent is a good solution for anyone who finds themselves entering their attic often throughout the year.
Installation of the Attic Tent is extremely easy since the unit comes pre-assembled. You simply use silicon caulking to seal the Attic Tent to the floor and then use a commercial grade to stapler to further secure the edging.
Easy access to the attic may be the best part about the Attic Tent. The lid is opened using the two-way zippers and there is little obstacle from there. The front edge of the Attic Tent is extremely low, which means you don’t have an additional 8 inches to hurdle over from the top stair of the ladder. The material is pliable, so if you do inadvertently rub against or kneel on the wall, you are unlikely to cause damage.
The warranty offered by Attic Tent protects against manufacturer defects for a period of two years. We feel that the warranty should be longer but if there is likely to be a problem it should appear within that time period.

Minuses:

The insulation value of the Attic Tent is rated at only 3.2-R which leaves a lot to be desired when compared to the competition.

Overall, we think that the Attic Tent is a good solution for many homes. Often, your attic access point has little or no insulation to prevent heat loss. Builders generally cut a piece of plywood with frame and put that over the attic stair pulldown. This is essentially the same as trying to insulate with a piece of paper. That Attic Tent will create a thermal barrier to help with heat loss, however the insulation value is quite low at only 3.2-R. For most home owners, the installation is very easy and should take less than 30 minutes. Using the Attic Tent on a day-to-day basis may offer the greatest advantage as the product’s design is extremely user friendly and easy to maneuver through. If the home owner does not need to access their attic more than once or twice per year, there are other attic insulators which have a greater insulation value and thus will offer greater savings.
