There is a snooze button that will let you turn it off for five days at a time. When 0 days remain, change the filter and reset the timer for another 182 days (6 months).

The Blueair's are environmentally friendly from the outside in. These air purifiers run on 20-80 watts, depending upon the setting you use. This means that you can run this air purifier continuously and not be worried about your electricity bill. Most air purifiers have high electrical costs to run, sucking up an unfair share of electricity, but the Blueairs are more eco-minded.

These Blueair's negative ionizers will not leave black deposits on your wall and do not release any ozone into the air. Particles a HEPA filter alone might miss are captured with an electrostatic charge. The Blueair's HEPASilent™ technology moves particles through an enclosed ion chamber, which attaches a charge to the particle itself. Charged particles cling more easily to the filter media, resulting in higher filter efficiency overall. Because most electrostatic air cleaners charge the filter media itself, the charge dissipates over time and renders the filter less efficient. Summary

The extremely energy efficient Blueair 403, 450E Air Purifiers clean the air effectively while being virtually silent on low settings. The HEPASilent™ particle filter does not have any activated carbon so it will only filter airborne particle and allergens from the air. The SmokeStop&trade filter features 3 lbs. of activated carbon and offers airborne particle filtration well as gas, odor, smoke, and chemical control. The Blueair's biggest advantage in our opinion is that on low speeds, it is virtually silent. For that reason alone it may as well be the air cleaner of choice for most bedrooms. The Blueairs have so many credentials; they have been AHAM tested and are Energy Star qualified. Our president likes the brand so much that she has two in her home.
