We are quite frankly astonished at the ecological breakthrough achieved by Blueair in introducing their ECO1O model, and we applaud them for their ground breaking efforts to be ecologically responsible. To have a powerful room air purifier at this size that only uses only 10 watts of power on high fan speed (let alone low speed) still has us shaking our heads in amazement! Add the cost benefits of a polypropylene HEPASilent filter which can be vacuumed, and its all-recyclable and biodegradable parts, and you end up with what we see as the world’s greenest air purifier!

You would wonder whether all this has been achieved at the expense of performance, but our testing team informed us that the efficiency achieved in terms of one pass particulate removal is darned near perfect - even better than other BlueAir models. Along with the high efficiency rating, the ECO10 has some improved features like a real pre-filter, which other Blueair models do not have yet, and the ability to run this air purifier day and night without running up your electric bill. With all this, you can see why we gave the ECO10 our highest 5 star rating.

Setup/Care

Replace the filters every 12 months. Filters can be vacuumed to remove large particles to prolong filter life and efficiency.

How it Works

Breakthrough technology. The Blueair ECO10 combines patented HEPASilent™ filter technology with a superior EC fan motor to deliver markedly higher energy efficiency than conventional air purifiers. Other new features include two built-in speeds, four effective pre-filters and a main filter unit that can be vacuumed to prolong service life.

Low power consumption. The Blueair ECO10 runs on just 10 watts of power, making it extremely energy efficient. It is nearly 10 times more energy efficient than the minimum performance requirements for energy-efficient room air purifiers established by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency for its ENERGY STAR program.

Blueair's SurroundAir™ system achieves peak performance without annoying drafts by drawing in dirty air from the sides and bottom, moving it through a less dense filter media, and releasing clean, filtered air from the sides and top.The ECO10 has a 2-speed control knob.

If you haven't figure it out by now our experts were raving when they tested this air purifier. High performance, Eco-friendly, quiet and low running costs- what more could you want? The only things our testers could quibble about was there is no heavy duty VOC /Smoke/Odor filter currently available as an option, but we know they are coming, and ECO10 owners can upgrade later. The initial upfront higher cost will put off some people, but the it only takes a couple of years before the reduction in running costs pay for increased upfront purchase price,and you can feel good that you are not adding significantly to the pollution of our planet. The BlueAir ECO10 produces less then 120 lbs. of carbon emissions per year, emits no ozone by-products, and the entire unit including the polypropylene filter is recyclable. And don't forget that comforting, lifetime warranty! The five star rating we gave to this machine is well deserved!
