Description
The DPW Platter makes a stunning centerpiece for your table. It is part of a collection that has been showcased at many museums around the country as well as the Smithsonian Institute. Scrap street signs are materials ripe for the battles of this decade: their obvious environmental message; the mockery of precious materials which are symbolic of the American struggle for wealth and success; their subtle defiance of authority.

Boris Bally crafts his artwork using retired signage from the Department of Public Works. The pieces are cut, handspun and riveted re-using old aluminum traffic signs. The final aesthetic result is expressed through functional platters. Each piece is unique, individually handcrafted and signed by the artist. Due to the nature of this artwork each piece will vary according to availability of materials. Hand crafted in Rhode Island.
