Summary

The dynamics of the Ball™ technology truly reduced the amount of effort need to control and maneuver the vacuums around the house. We were impressed by the suction power of these vacuums, and their ability to pick-up pet hair was one of the best we have seen. We would have liked the vacuums to have a suction adjustment or carpet height adjustment because the strong suction made it difficult to use on small rugs and you would not be able to use them on delicate carpet types such as Frieze. The washable HEPA filter does a good job capturing particles and expelling clean air back into the room. This filter will also last the lifetime of the vacuum and requires cleaning every 3 months. On top of having washable filters, these vacuums are also bagless which means no replacement costs and less waste! We recommend the Dyson vacuums for houses that have lots of carpeting; however the brush bar can be turned off for use on bare floors. The DC24 is extremely light and compact and would be a good choice for multiple levels home, small apartments or condos.
