At first glance, this compact Hamilton Beech filter might not seem up to the task, but we were pleasantly surprised with the unit’s performance: it indeed removed 99% of particles down to 3 microns. Of course, it’s HEPA-grade filter is less effective than a true HEPA filter that can remove 99.97% of particles down to 0.3 microns in size. We were especially impressed by the quietness of the three speeds, all of which seemed to do the job quite well. Because of its compact size, we had no trouble imagining small spaces within our own homes where this little filtering machine could be placed. Versatile and effective!
