Lulu is an evolution of eco-design, combining an energy-efficient light source and "green" materials to create innovative new approaches to contemporary lighting. Incorporating shades made of 50 percent post-consumer recycled content plastic, Lulu has been reconfigured to utilize a new generation of dedicated 18-watt or 26-watt compact fluorescent light bulbs (CFLs) with replaceable ballasts. Once your lighting has finished its strut down your lighting runway, you can disassemble it quickly and place each component in its proper recycling bin, further increasing the earth-friendly aspect of this alluring lighting series. With Lulu, you can balance your love for fashion with your love for the environment.

Craftsmanship

Lulu fluorescent lighting fixtures are green both from a materials standpoint and an energy efficiency standpoint. Lulu Fluorescent fixtures use the newest Energy Star compliant compact fluorescent lighting (CFL) and come with replaceable ballasts.. Some models can be alternatively ordered with dimmable, integral ballast screw-base CFLs.

Efficiency

LIGHTS - About compact fluorescent lighting (CFL):
CFL bulbs use about one-quarter of the energy an incandescent bulb to produce the same amount of light. CFL uses an electronic (or magnetic) ballast that sits above the socket and helps regulate the light.

FINISH - About Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs):
Lulu uses low or no VOC finishes. VOCs are pollutants found in a variety of household items, such as paints and lacquers, building materials and furnishings, and craft materials including glues and adhesives. VOCs can seriously affect your health. Lulu Lighting products help you keep a minimum exposure to these chemicals, as recommended by the EPA.

PACKAGING -
Lighting is a delicate product, which must be well protected during shipping. However, all bubble wrap has either recycled content or is reused from incoming packaging. Whenever possible, biodegradable starch packing peanuts are used for packaging. Please try to reuse or recycle the packaging material when you receive the products.
