With superb HEPA filtration and the same 1200-watt motor as Miele's luxury-class vacuum cleaners, the Eclipse S4852 is able to trap particles as small as .3 microns. We were very impressed with the quiet motor and the telescopic wand that is longer than Miele’s traditional telescope wand. The compact size and easy maneuvering make these a popular choice for apartments or condos. Other features we liked were the professional-grade tools and the simple step-on cord rewind. These models do not have a bumper guard to protect furniture, nor do they have a filter indicator, which means you have to estimate when it is time to change your HEPA filter. The Standard package with just the combo floor tool is affordable and convenience, but for more specific floor care needs you will want the Deluxe or Supreme package.

Summary

The midnight purple Eclipse S4582 replaces the polar ice white Luna S4580. It is the middle model of the compact S4 Galaxy series and offers everything that the more expensive Orion S4780 model offers with the exception of fingertip controls and a filter change indicator. The Eclipse comes standard with HEPA filtration, deluxe handle, +/- controls, bag change indicator, 3 accessory tools and a combination carpet/smooth floor tool. We created a Deluxe and Supreme package that include additional floors tools designed for delicate smooth flooring and medium pile carpets/rugs to provide a household floor cleaning package to match everyone's needs.
