With superb HEPA filtration and the same 1200-watt motor as Miele's luxury-class vacuum cleaners, the Galaxy-Luna is able to trap particles as small as .3 microns. We were very impressed with the quiet motor and the telescopic wand that is longer than Miele’s traditional telescope wand. The compact size, the swivel hose and handle, and the easy maneuvering of these vacuums make them especially good for vacuuming stairs. Other features we liked were the professional-grade tools and the simple step-on cord rewind. Although the parquet floor brush rotates 90 degrees and makes cleaning corners a snap, it is more appropriate for wood floors than for rugs. However, the Turbo brush and Power brush do an excellent job on carpets. These models do not have a bumper guard to protect furniture, nor do they have a filter indicator, which means you have to estimate when it is time to change your HEPA filter.
