  • Active Air Clean Filter this filter combines the Super Air Clean filter with an active charcoal cassette which absorbs odors from the dust bag and traps pet hair, dander and dirt. Retains 99.95% of particles down to 0.5 of a micron.

I used the S7260 Cat & Dog in my home and was impressed at how easy it was to adjust the suction settings as needed as I moved from bare floors to different area rugs and wall to wall carpeting. We missed the automatic setting that is on the S7580 Tango model that eliminates the need to adjust the suction settings as you changes cleaning surfaces. I was impressed by the way it revived the carpet in high traffic areas of my home. Like most upright vacuums, it was a bit heavy to lug upstairs. The 12 foot extended hose with the anti-tip feature is unbelievable as it allows you to stretch the hose as far as you’d like and there was no need to worry about the vacuum falling over. The telescopic stainless steel wand made it easy to reach the cobwebs at the ceiling and remove the dust from the top of the molding along the floor. We would have liked it if the end of the steel wand had some rubber or plastic on it to prevent scratching the floor or the paint on the walls. Of course, the on board crevice tool or dusting brush could be attached to eliminate this issue, but I am an impatient cleaner who likes to do my non-floor cleaning on the fly. Although heavy, the swivel neck and weight distribution in the design allows it to flow along the cleaning surface effortlessly and change direction at will. I was amazed when I needed to get under a bureau and the Miele lowered to the floor to allow me to clean the area. In conclusion, Miele has successfully designed an upright vacuum that is easy to use and does an incredible job at cleaning. They thought of everything when making this vacuum from the anti-tip feature and fingertip controls to the swivel neck design and spring loaded brush roll. With the addition of the S7260 Cat & Dog model they have made an ideal upright to address pet owners issues including pet odors and hair!

Summary

We have been waiting for Miele to come out with an upright that compares to their canisters and they finally have. It seems they analyzed everything a person would want in an upright vacuum and included it in their design. Their latest addition is the S7260 Cat & Dog model, which is the pet owner’s version of the Miele S7 upright vacuum cleaners. They have included the same quality and design and have added a handheld turbo brush to remove pet hair. They also replaced the HEPA filter with a Super Air Clean filter that includes active charcoal to remove pet odors.
