• Exceptionally long lasting powerful motor: The Sebo X series motor is rated for 800 hours of use, which should bring over 10 years of dependability. These vacuum motors produce great air flow, reduce sound level and have low maintenance costs.
• Sebo S-Class Filtration System: Dirt is sucked up and filtered through a three step process:
  1) a 3-layer filter bag
  2) an electrostatic microfilter
  3) an exhaust filter inside the Sebo vacuum cleaner.
  Any vacuum cleaners meeting the "S-Class" standards are equivalent to meeting HEPA requirements to filter out 99.97% of pollens, household dust, dust mites and other allergens as small as 0.3 micrometers in size. For particles 1 micrometer and larger, the filtration rate is 100%.

Expert Review

These were our hands down favorite for upright vacuums. They are lighter than most uprights we've used, yet they delivered excellent suction. We never had to go over an area twice. We liked how well it worked on bare floors, usually a weak point with uprights. The automatic height adjustment makes it easy to go from carpeting to bare floors for quick pick-ups.

Our testers were delighted with the different tools, especially considering how easy it was to change them. The roller brush was easy to clean. The floor brush works for tile, wood, and vinyl. The handle bends a full 180˚ parallel to the floor, which is a nice feature. Plus these vacuums only need a clearance of 5.5" so it's easy to clean under beds and dressers.

One of the most notable features of the X series vacuums is that they automatically shut off if a jam is detected. This is not only a safety feature but it eliminates the potential of destroying the belt and motor. Along with the automatic shut off, the Sebo vacuum also has a large 1.4 gallon vacuum cleaner bag, which means you change or replace bags less often. As with any upright, it is more cumbersome to carry upstairs than a canister, but it's not too difficult relative to other uprights because they are lightweight.

The bottom line is that these powerful, HEPA upright vacuum cleaners are built to last for 15 to 20 years. In our book, they cannot get much better.
